Fun at Work... NOT!!

Sometimes we like to dress up at work for fun... NOT!! Those outfits were like wearing portable saunas, but we have to protect ourselfs from patients who have airborne diseases at work sometimes.

Maybe lose a pound or two while we are at it

Sexist or not?

As much as I would like to defend my gender, this is often true

A Pleasant Dining Experience

B. and I found a random place to have breakfast as we were driving along. It's called American Bistro.

Before we walked in, first, B. said " Is this an old people restaurant?" To which I replied " but those are the ones that served the best breakfasts"

Second, we found this sign just outside the door. The second reaction from B. was if we should eat here now if we can't use our cellphones. To that I responded that we shouldn't have to use our cellphones while eating anyway and that it was to provide an enjoyable dining experience sans loud cellphone talkers.

Although, I must admit that when we were " told" that we were not allowed to use our phones, we were itching to look at them for no immediate reasons.

But as we discussed stuff over breakfast there were things we wanted to refer to on our phones being that we both have smartphones. For example, I wanted to look at my calendar so I could plug in the date of whih he amd I are free to meet her sister SF . And she wanted to look at her calorie counter app to see how many calories we had for breakfast while it was still fresh in our minds.

How dependent we have become on technology. And yet the phone is not a necessity but it has become a part of our lifestyle.

SNOW and the City

It's SNOWING in Atlanta!!!

I'm so excited I got to be here at home and see it actually falling. It feels like I have never seen snow before. I'm taking all sorts of pictures.

None of which is capturing the snowfall the same as seeing it with your own eyes

Miss Piggy

In good Filipino Tradition, instead of having Holiday Ham we have Holiday Lechon. This particular Lechon was a baby. Apparently, the adult one smells like feet.

This whole baby lechon was a special gift to Riza and Dani because they get grossed out by seeing whole dead animals for food.

Poor Baby pig didn't stand a chance against hungry Filipinos!

Cookies!!

This is what happens when 4 girls (Me, Dani, Wendy, Lori) get it in their heads to bake. We each had individual ideas for what kind of cookies we each wanted to make. So we made them all with team effort for rolling out the dough, decorating, and baking.

We made rice krispy treats, sugar cookies, gingerbread cookies, butter cookies, and even cherry jello cookies!

My favorite cookies were the Gingerbread men with Hearts.

The biggest one (picured below was my design)

Each individual cookie was decorated by hand. We had a whole bakery going on.

Afterwards, a fun game of Loteria and Scrabble.

What a great way to spend a Sunday night!!
